Sergio Aguero is expected to sit out the next couple of weeks after experiencing discomfort in his knee.

The 29-year-old will certainly skip Monday's match against Stoke City. He's also at risk of missing Argentina's friendlies against Italy and Spain on March 23 and March 27, respectively.

Argentina will keep Aguero in the squad for the World Cup tuneups, according to Goal correspondent Sam Lee. That would indicate that the striker has a chance of playing against Gli Azzurri and La Roja.

The injury doesn't pose too many problems for City. With the international break coming up, it's likely Aguero will only miss the Premier League leader's trip to Stoke. Gabriel Jesus has also returned to the lineup after recovering from his own knee problem, leaving Pep Guardiola with plenty of options in attack.

It does, however, interrupt Aguero's fantastic start to 2018. He scored 15 goals in the first 15 matches of the new year, helping City win the League Cup in February.
