The Carolina Hurricanes pulled a fast one on Twitter on Friday.
With a vacancy at the general manager position following the decision by new owner Tom Dundon to bump Ron Francis to president of hockey operations, the club's social media team put out a call for applications:
If you're one of the many fans around the league who has inquired about applying to be our GM, you can submit your resume here: https://t.co/PQnUiO0Yr1 #Canes pic.twitter.com/RNO8LTG7li

The link, however, leads to '80s pop star Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" - a popular meme known as a "Rick Roll."
No word on whether this led to many cover letters that read "A full commitment's what I'm thinking of / You wouldn't get this from any other guy (or girl)."
