The Philadelphia Eagles are trading wide receiver Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for cornerback Daryl Worley, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Smith is set to make $5 million in 2018, while Worley is contracted through 2019 and will earn just $650,000 this coming season.

The veteran pass-catcher joined the Eagles last offseason but was quickly pushed from the No. 2 receiver spot by Nelson Agholor, ultimately finishing the year with 430 yards on 36 catches.

However, the 29-year-old still has the speed to stretch the field - something that's been lacking in the Panthers offense since the exit of Ted Ginn.

Worley started 14 games for Carolina in 2017, recording 64 total tackles, 10 passes defensed, and two interceptions.
