Derrius Guice: Team asked if I like men during combine interview

Running back Derrius Guice said Wednesday an NFL team asked him if he liked men during an interview at the NFL Scouting Combine.

"It was pretty crazy," Guice said in an interview on SiriusXM NFL, according to A.J. Perez and Heather Tucker of USA TODAY. "Some people are really trying to get in your head and test your reaction. ... I go in one room, and a team will ask me do I like men, just to see my reaction. I go in another room, they'll try to bring up one of my family members or something and tell me, 'Hey, I heard your mom sells herself. How do you feel about that?'"

A source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk that Guice was asked the question about men.

The team that asked hasn't been named.

Two years ago, the Atlanta Falcons came under fire for asking cornerback Eli Apple about his sexual orientation during a combine interview. NFL teams aren't allowed to ask players about their sexuality, and are subject to discipline from the league if they do.

Guice, an LSU product, is expected to be drafted within the first two rounds.
