Report: Ex-Browns coaches held 'fired coaches party' at combine

The 2018 NFL Scouting Combine featured a number of exciting moments and intriguing storylines, but this may be the best one.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, a small group of former Cleveland Browns coaches held a "fired Browns coaches party" during the combine at an Indianapolis restaurant.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed Fowler's story, adding that it was a restaurant named Rock Bottom. You can't make this up.

While neither Fowler or Schefter revealed which former Cleveland coaches attended the reported dinner, there are plenty of candidates:

  • Mike Pettine, head coach 2014-15, currently with the Packers
  • Romeo Crennel, head coach 2005-2008, currently with the Texans
  • John DeFilippo, offensive coordinator 2015, currently with the Vikings
  • Norv Turner, offensive coordinator 2013, currently with the Panthers
  • Pat Shurmur, head coach 2011-12, currently with the Giants
  • Kyle Shanahan, offensive coordinator 2014, currently with the 49ers

However, the biggest question might be: Was Bill Belichick present?
