MacKinnon, Laine, Barkov named NHL's 3 stars of the week
Nathan MacKinnon doesn't seem to be showing any rust from a recent injury spell.
The Colorado Avalanche forward has tallied 11 points in his past four games, including a five-point outing against the Minnesota Wild. On Monday, he was recognized as the NHL's first star of the week.
Winnipeg Jets superstar Patrik Laine is the NHL's second star of the week after he notched seven points in three games, including back-to-back multi-goal efforts over the Detroit Red Wings and Carolina Hurricanes.
Meanwhile, the Florida Panthers, who have made a late surge toward a playoff position, can credit NHL's third star of the week Aleksander Barkov for their recent performance. The forward has collected five goals and an assist in his last four appearances. Barkov leads the Panthers in scoring with 64 points in 62 games.
