Report: Dion Lewis expected to be targeted by 7 teams in free agency
Dion Lewis' phone will apparently be ringing non-stop come March 14.
The New England Patriots running back is expected to be pursued by as many as seven teams when free agency kicks off, with the Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, New York Jets, and Houston Texans among them, a source told Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
Lewis had a career year in 2017, transforming from primarily a third-down back to a featured bell cow for New England.
He rushed for 896 yards on 180 carries (5 yards per tote) and six touchdowns, appearing in 16 regular-season games for the first time in his career.
Injuries have limited Lewis in the past, but the 27-year-old hits the open market with little tread on his tires, having just 329 career rushes.
