As things currently stand, Jarvis Landry is headed toward signing his franchise tag with the Miami Dolphins as early as next week, ESPN's Josina Anderson reports.
The Dolphins identified Landry as their franchise player on Feb. 20 and reportedly allowed the wideout to seek out a trade Thursday.
Perhaps Landry didn't find the interest he believed he'd receive on the open market. Should he sign the tag with the Dolphins, he's expected to earn more than $15.6 million.
