Steelers' Colbert: Shazier won't play in 2018 but will be part of team

Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert spoke Wednesday at the 2018 combine and said injured linebacker Ryan Shazier won't play in the upcoming season but will still be an important part of the team, according to Mark Kaboly of The Athletic.
Shazier suffered a spinal contusion in a Week 13 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He later underwent spinal stabilization surgery.

The 25-year-old was still named to the Pro Bowl for a second consecutive season despite playing only 12 games. He recorded 89 combined tackles, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and three interceptions.
