The Buffalo Bills inquired about trading for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant last year, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
It's unclear when, exactly, Buffalo attempted to deal for the wideout, who expressed frustration with his declining role in Pittsburgh ahead of the 2017 trade deadline. The Steelers held onto Bryant and his role expanded somewhat later in the season.
The Bills wound up swinging a trade at the deadline with the Carolina Panthers for Kelvin Benjamin.
Bryant, who finished the campaign with 603 receiving yards and three touchdowns, is scheduled for free agency in 2019.
