It doesn't appear the injury that forced Ben Scrivens out of Canada's 1-0 win in the quarterfinals over Finland is overly serious, as he's expected to be dressed for the semifinal against Germany.
Canadian general manager Sean Burke told Shi Davidi of Sportsnet that the injury is a shoulder/collarbone issue but shouldn't keep Scrivens from at least serving as the backup against the Germans.
The Canadian goalie was forced to the bench with the ailment during the second period and was replaced by Kevin Poulin. The backup maintained the shutout and made some key stops in the third period to see Canada through to the next round.
Should Scrivens, who skipped practice on Thursday to receive treatment, be unable to dress, Canada would have Poulin and Justin Peters available to play in the tournament.
