The Indianapolis Colts are set to bring in Los Angeles Chargers quarterbacks coach Shane Steichen as their new offensive coordinator following the hiring of head coach Frank Reich, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.
The Colts were rumored to be targeting former Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, but appear to have shifted to Steichen in the wake of Josh McDaniels' high-profile snub of Indy's head coaching job.
From 2014-15, Steichen was an offensive quality control coach for the Chargers (his second stint with the team) before moving to his current role in 2016. Reich was the Chargers' offensive coordinator during that time.
