49ers' Foster arrested on charges relating to domestic violence, possession of assault weapon

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested Sunday for the second time in a month, this time on charges relating to domestic violence and for suspicion of possessing an assault rifle, Sarah Ravani and Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle report.
The 2017 first-round draft pick was also arrested and charged with second-degree possession of marijuana on Jan. 12.
Foster's bail was set at $75,000 and he was released later Sunday evening.
"The San Francisco 49ers organization is aware of the report regarding Reuben Foster," the team said in a release obtained by multiple reporters. "We take matters of this nature seriously and are gathering all pertinent information."
