Report: Panthers give Bills’ Dawson 2nd interview for GM job

The Carolina Panthers held a second interview with Buffalo Bills assistant college scouting director Lake Dawson for their open general manager position, sources told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Pelissero says the Panthers aren’t close to offering the position to anyone, but Dawson is viewed as a strong candidate.
The 46-year-old Dawson, a former NFL receiver, worked as a scout for the Cleveland Browns and was the Tennessee Titans vice president of player personnel prior to joining the Bills.
Interim general manager Marty Hurney, once viewed as the front-runner for the role, is on paid leave from the team after his ex-wife said he harassed her. The NFL investigation is ongoing.
