Twitter has field day with missed kicks from 1st half of Super Bowl LII
The Super Bowl may be the pinnacle of football, but that doesn't necessarily mean all aspects of the game live up to the hype.
In the first half of Super Bowl LII between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles, the kicking left a lot to be desired.
Rookie Eagles kicker Jake Elliott missed his first extra point wide right. Not to be outdone, Patriots veteran Stephen Gostkowski shanked his extra-point kick wide left after missing on just two during the regular season.
Gostkowski also missed a 26-yard field goal - he hit the upright following a poor snap.
Understandably, Twitter couldn't believe what it was seeing:

Jaysus. Another miss. Extra-shiny balls reminiscent of the Tony Romo PAT botch?
