Being mentored by a two-time Super Bowl champion is not something every rookie quarterback experiences upon entering the league.

This could be a reality for one of this year's top QB prospects, including Sam Darnold, as the New York Giants hold the No. 2 overall pick.

While being drafted by the Giants would bring less of an opportunity to start immediately, Darnold told the New York Post he would welcome working with Eli Manning.

"It would be amazing (to be mentored by Manning)," Darnold said. "If I do get drafted by New York and he was there, it'd be an amazing opportunity to get better."

The former USC signal-caller has already had the opportunity to pick the brain of the Manning family via the Manning Passing Academy.

"It was a great opportunity for me to get better, and I learned a lot from Eli," said Darnold. "He's a great guy, great personality, him and Peyton both."

With the quarterback-needy Cleveland Browns owning the No. 1 pick, the Giants are no sure bet to land their player of choice, leaving the quarterback class far from sorted out.
