In his Super Bowl LII pep talk Saturday night, Brett Favre reminded the Philadelphia Eagles what could happen if they become complacent versus the New England Patriots.

"They're a tremendous team, their quarterback is the greatest to ever play, Bill Belichick is the greatest coach to ever coach," Favre said to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia while recalling his speech. "You know what they're about. They're going to play the whole game. Don't ever say ... like (the Atlanta Falcons did) last year, 'We have it won and we're going to go through the drive-thru.' That's not a good idea."

Favre, who won his only Super Bowl against the Patriots at the end of the 1996-97 season, was a special guest of Eagles coach Doug Pederson on the eve before the Super Bowl. The two were previously teammates on the Green Bay Packers.

"Doug and I go way back. Dear friends, hunting buddies, golfing buddies; we were teammates for almost 10 years," Favre noted, according to ESPN. "My success as an NFL player is in part because of our connection and friendship."

Favre added that he congratulated the Eagles on all they've accomplished this season and kept his message to the team mostly lighthearted.
