The defense attorney for the late Aaron Hernandez is writing a book about the final days of the former New England Patriots tight end.

Jose Baez promises "shocking revelations" in the book, titled "Unnecessary Roughness: The Life and Death of Aaron Hernandez," according to the Associated Press. It was written with the permission of Hernandez's fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins, and will include a foreword by her.

The book will be released Aug. 21 and is available for pre-order on Amazon.

"Based on countless intimate conversations with Aaron and his family and friends in the year leading up to his double murder trial, Baez offers an unexpected portrait of the fallen New England Patriots tight end, and reveals previously unreported details about his mental state and other information known only to Aaron's closest confidants," the book's description reads.
