Neymar hits out at 'very unfair' treatment of Spurs target Lucas
Neymar has come to the defence of Paris Saint-Germain outcast Lucas Moura, saying it's "very unfair" how the Brazilian is being forced to leave the Ligue 1 leader.
The pacey winger has struggled for regular playing time - appearing in just six matches as a substitute - since the arrival of Neymar from Barcelona last summer.
After manager Unai Emery confessed that Lucas doesn't have a future with the capital city club, Tottenham emerged as the favourite to sign the 25-year-old in a transfer that could cost the Premier League side €27 million.
Despite his arrival seemingly spelling the end for Lucas in a PSG top, Neymar admitted he'll be sad to see his "brother in football" leave.
"I'm sad because he's a good friend, a quality player who has been used very little," Neymar said, according to Ian Holyman of ESPN FC, after PSG's win over Rennes in the Coupe de la Ligue on Tuesday.
"I think it's very unfair. He's my brother in football. I wish him all the best. Regardless of the destination, I hope he'll score a lot of goals and that he'll return to the Brazil team."
Lucas is expected to complete the switch to Tottenham before Wednesday's transfer deadline.
