Brady cuts radio spot short due to host's comments about his daughter
Super Bowl media day got off to a rough start Monday morning.
Though not an official part of Super Bowl Opening Night, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady cut his weekly spot on WEEI radio's "Kirk and Callahan Show" short due to a comment station host Alex Reimer made Thursday about Brady's daughter.
While discussing Brady's daughter's scene in the "Tom vs. Time" documentary, Reimer referred to her as "an annoying little pissant," WEEI's Rob Bradford confirmed.
Brady made only a brief comment on Monday's show.
"I've tried to come on this show for many years and showed you guys a lot of respect. I've always tried and come on and do a good job for you guys. It's very disappointing when you hear that, certainly. My daughter, or any child, certainly doesn't deserve that," Brady said.
"I really don't have much to say about it this morning."
The station suspended Reimer as of Friday.
