"Hefty Lefty" could be headed to the XFL.

Following Thursday's announcement by WWE CEO Vince McMahon that he plans to resurrect the league in 2020, former NFL quarterback Jared Lorenzen let it be known that he wants in. He has the perfect nickname in mind, too.

"He Ate Me" is a play on Rod Smart's iconic "He Hate Me" nickname from the original XFL.

Lorenzen is even selling "He Ate Me" T-shirts through his apparel company.

Lorenzen last played in 2014 as a member of the Northern Kentucky River Monsters of the Continental Indoor Football League. He launched a weight loss journey last year after ballooning to over 500 pounds, which he's been documenting on Facebook.
