The Los Angeles Clippers have placed Travis Walton, an assistant coach with the team's G League affiliate Agua Caliente Clippers, on administrative leave "pending further investigation," according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Walton's name surfaced in a recent report from ESPN's Outside the Lines concerning a culture of sexual assault and gender discrimination at Michigan State, where he served as a student-assistant under head coach Tom Izzo.

The report mentioned that Walton - the 2009 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year - was allowed to continue coaching for the basketball program despite having been criminally charged for striking a female student at an East Lansing bar in 2010.

His assault and battery charges were eventually dropped, but he did reportedly plead to a civil infraction for littering.

Months later, Walton was accused of sexually assaulting another female student, who claimed Walton and two other players raped her off campus. She never reported the assault to the authorities.

Walton told OTL that he was unaware of the allegations and that he had been playing professionally in Europe in the autumn of 2010, during the time of the alleged assault.
