Florida State's Francois involved in domestic incident
Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois was involved in a domestic incident with his girlfriend that occurred Tuesday evening, reports Karl Etters of The Tallahassee Democrat, citing a Tallahassee Police Department report.
According to the police report, a woman told Francois that she was pregnant with his child, and they got into an argument at approximately 6 p.m. Francois then called the police. He said the woman showed up when he was hanging out with a friend, broke things in the house during their argument, and attempted to rip a television off a wall.
The woman told police that Francois had become angry because a friend of his tried to talk to her. She said he broke down a bedroom door, picked her up, and threw her to the ground, resulting in a cut on her forearm. She threatened to call the police multiple times, according to TPD records.
"She advised me she did not want Francois to get in 'trouble trouble,' but she did want me to speak with him and scare him a little," an officer wrote in the police report.
Francois told police that the cut on the woman's forearm came from a glass vase that was broken during the fight.
His friend, Zaquandre White, agreed with Francois' account. White said Francois only made physical contact with the woman to defend himself and attempt to stop her from breaking things.
The woman said she did not want to press charges, and police did not make any arrests because there were no independent witnesses and the statements contradicted each other.
