Report: Darvish has at least one 5-year offer on the table

Despite a free-agent market freeze, it appears at least one team is prepared to invest long-term in this year's most coveted starter.

Right-hander Yu Darvish has a five-year offer on the table, a source told ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.

The Milwaukee Brewers are the latest team to show interest in the 31-year-old, joining the Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Minnesota Twins, and New York Yankees.

The Yankees' pursuit is said to have cooled, in large part due to general manager Brian Cashman aiming to stay below the luxury-tax threshold.

Darvish, who earned $11 million in 2017, finished the season with a 3.86 ERA, 209 strikeouts, and a 1.16 WHIP pitching for the Rangers and Dodgers.
