There is now an opening for head coach of the Tennessee Titans and it's believed New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has his eyes on it.
McDaniels, a top candidate for the Indianapolis Colts' job, would prefer the Titans' gig to all others, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports. The unknown health of Colts franchise pivot Andrew Luck and the potential of Titans star Marcus Mariota appears to be the determining factor.
Luck missed all of 2017 after offseason shoulder surgery. Mariota helped lead the Titans to the divisional round of the playoffs before the team was ousted by the Patriots in decisive fashion.
