Let's face it, the New England Patriots are likely going to lose one, if not both of their coveted coordinators whenever their postseason ends.

Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and defensive coordinator Matt Patricia have been talked about as potential head coaching candidates for several years, and are expected to finally be on the move in 2018. The Detroit Lions, New York Giants, and Indianapolis Colts are the reported possible destinations for Bill Belichick's underlings.

McDaniels led the Patriots' offense to second in passing yards and 10th in rushing this season. He has had the benefit of working directly with Tom Brady for 11 years and under Belichick for 14. Though his first stint as a head coach did not end well, his experience has helped him to learn from his mistakes.

The Patriots have been the only NFL team Patricia has known in his coaching career, filling several roles throughout Belichick's staff since 2004 and occupying the coordinator position since 2012. Patricia has an unusual background, earning his degree in aeronautical engineering before his coaching career. Despite a constantly changing defensive roster, New England has been in the top 10 for points allowed in every season under Patricia.
