The Seattle Seahawks are expected to name Indianapolis Colts quarterbacks coach Brian Schottenheimer their new offensive coordinator, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, citing a league source.

The Seahawks were also rumored to be targeting Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo for the position.

Schottenheimer has nine years of experience as an offensive coordinator. He held the job with the New York Jets from 2006-11 and with the St. Louis Rams from 2012-14.

The Seahawks recently fired longtime offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and offensive line coach Tom Cable.
