Will Muschamp can get a little more comfortable at South Carolina.

The university's board of trustees unanimously approved a three-year extension for the head coach Friday, upping the term on his contract to six years through 2023, according to Josh Kendall of The State.

In regard to salary, Muschamp is set to earn $4.2 million in Year 1, with an annual increase of $200,000 through 2023, according to Kendall. The agreement also included raises for Muschamp's assistants, to $5.1 million in total salaries, up from $4 million in 2017.

Muschamp recently finished his second season at South Carolina, and guided the Gamecocks to a 9-4 record and a win over Michigan in the Outback Bowl. Muschamp has 15-11 overall record and an 8-8 conference record in two seasons in Columbia.
