You can take Matt Rhule out of consideration for the Indianapolis Colts' head coaching job as a source told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network that the Baylor head coach will remain with the school.
Rhule interviewed for the Colts position earlier in the week, but has ruled out a return to the NFL in favor of a second season with the Bears.
The 42-year-old was an assistant coach for one season with the New York Giants in 2012 before taking over as the frontman at Temple the following season. After four years as head coach with the Owls, Rhule jumped to the Big 12 and took over a Baylor program reeling from significant roster movement in the wake of Art Briles' firing.
The Bears struggled mightily in Rhule's first season with the program, posting a dismal 1-11 record.
