It appears the Houston Texans have decided Bill O'Brien is the man to lead them going forward, as John McClain of the Houston Chronicle is reporting the club is negotiating a long-term extension with the head coach.

The 48-year-old has been with the team since 2014, leading them to two AFC South titles in his four seasons. Battling a slew of injuries, the Texans finished last in the division this season, but O'Brien's work in developing star quarterback Deshaun Watson certainly reflected well on the veteran coach.

The news comes at the same time it was reported the Texans are expected to hire Brian Graine as their new general manager. Graine previously worked in the Houston front office from 2014-16 before spending the last season with the Buffalo Bills.
