New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Tony McDaniel appeared to have received some confusing news during Sunday's playoff game against the Carolina Panthers.
It was initially reported by FOX's Erin Andrews on the broadcast that McDaniel's wife went into labor and that he was given a choice to remain in the game by Saints head coach Sean Payton. McDaniel subsequently remained in the game.
It was later revealed by Andrews that McDaniel's wife wasn't in labor, but she merely had a stomach bug.
McDaniel later left the game with an injury.
