Not only will the upcoming NHL All-Star Game in Tampa Bay feature the best on-ice talent, it will also showcase some great minds behind the bench.
On Sunday, the NHL announced the four coaches who will partake in the All-Star festivities on Jan. 28:
- Jon Cooper, Tampa Bay Lightning, Atlantic Division
- Barry Trotz, Washington Capitals, Metropolitan Division
- Peter Laviolette, Nashville Predators, Central Division
- Gerard Gallant, Vegas Golden Knights, Pacific Division
Each coach leads his respective division in points percentage, as of Sunday.
For Cooper, he won't be the only member of the Lightning to attend the All-Star Game, as Tampa Bay center Steven Stamkos has also been selected to captain the Atlantic Division team.
