Steelers' Shazier regaining feeling in legs, says father

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier has regained feeling in his legs, his father Vernon told WPXI on Thursday.
Shazier suffered a spinal injury against the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 4 and had to be stretchered off the field without feeling in his legs. He underwent spinal stabilization surgery later that week and started rehab in mid-December.
"He's making progress daily," Vernon says.
Vernon believes his son will play football again, though it will certainly not be this season as the linebacker has been placed on injured reserve.
