Woods to play at Farmers Insurance, Genesis Open
Tiger Woods will take part in the upcoming Farmers Insurance Open and Genesis Open, he announced Thursday.
The Farmers Insurance Open takes place Jan. 25 to Jan. 28 in San Diego. It marks the first time in a year that Woods will participate in an official PGA Tour event.
The Genesis Open, held between Feb. 15 and Feb. 18, takes place at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., a neighborhood of Los Angeles.
"I'm very excited to be back at Riviera," Woods said in a statement. "I haven't played at Riviera in a tournament in a very long time.
"To be able to play in an event that I used to come to as an amateur, as a junior and now as the tournament host, that is on one of the most historic sites in all of golf, it's a dream come true."
Woods made his PGA Tour debut at Riviera in 1992, at 16. He last played the course in 2006.
