The New York Giants have asked to interview Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz for their head coaching vacancy and are expected to meet with him this weekend, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Schwartz was labeled a favorite to land the Giants' job in a report from Schefter on Sunday.
The Eagles' defense finished fourth in total yards allowed and first against the pass in 2017, Schwartz's second year in Philadelphia.
Schwartz previously served as defensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills in 2014 and was head coach of the Detroit Lions from 2009-13, ending their 11-year playoff drought in 2011.
