The CFP title game goes Monday between Alabama and Georgia, but one school has already decided who the national champion is for the 2017 season.

After completing a perfect 13-0 season with a win over Auburn in the Peach Bowl, UCF athletic director Danny White told 96.9 The Game the school will be hanging a national championship banner at the Knights football stadium in Orlando.

Despite finishing the regular season 12-0 and claiming the AAC title, UCF was ranked 12th in the final CFP rankings by the committee. That left them well back of the top four that found playoff spots, and five places behind their Peach Bowl opponent Auburn, a team that had three losses.

However, the Knights showed they belonged with any team in the country with the win over the Tigers on New Year's Day, handling a program that beat both Alabama and Georgia earlier this season.
