Maroon given match penalty after hit to head of Doughty

Edmonton Oilers forward Patrick Maroon was assessed a match penalty Tuesday night after a hit to the head of Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty.
Doughty was taken to the dressing room following the play, which can be seen below.

The Kings took advantage of the incident, pouring in three goals on the ensuing power play as Doughty returned to the ice minutes into the final frame.
