The Cleveland Browns hired Green Bay Packers senior personnel executive Alonzo Highsmith as their vice president of football operations, ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports.
Highsmith was promoted to senior personnel executive in 2012 and played in the NFL from 1987-1992.
"We discussed so many ideas and all kinds of stuff," Highsmith said Tuesday. "I was exposed to so much stuff today. That's why I thought it was (a) great opportunity. It feels good to go somewhere that you feel like you're trusted."
Highsmith will work directly with Browns general manager John Dorsey, who was hired on December 7.
