New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees set the NFL's single-season completion percentage record at 72.0 percent, completing 386 of 536 attempts in 2017.
Brees breaks the record that was set at 71.6 percent last season by Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford. Brees had previously held the record before Bradford, completing 71.2 percent of his passes in 2011.
As the Saints went from a pass-oriented offense to a run-first team in 2017, the 38-year-old quarterback had his lowest yardage total (4,334) since joining New Orleans in 2006.
