The Chicago Bears are expected to fire head coach John Fox following Sunday's season finale versus the Minnesota Vikings, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
General manager Ryan Pace is reportedly set to lead the search for a new coach, despite prolonged speculation that he, too, could be on the hot seat in Chicago.
The Bears are set to take a 5-10 record into Minnesota to close out the campaign. Fox has failed to win more than six games in any of his three seasons in the Windy City.
Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio will likely be a candidate for the job Fox currently holds, but the Bears may ultimately look for an offensive-minded coach to speed up the development of rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.
