Obama: Chris Long donating salary shows 'what's best about America'

Chris Long's good deeds earned him high praise from a former President of the United States.

Barack Obama retweeted a story about the Philadelphia Eagles defensive end donating his entire 2017 salary to charity Friday as one of several examples of "what's best about America."

Long, who has a base salary of $1 million this season, donated his first six game checks to fund scholarships in his hometown of Charlottesville, Va., and gave his final 10 checks to organizations that promote equal education.
