A police investigation is underway after a vehicle registered to Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson was found abandoned at a mall with 6.3 grams of marijuana and two .38 caliber bullets inside, according to a police report obtained by Mike Garafolo of NFL.com.

No arrests have been made, says Garafolo.

Officers were reportedly called to the scene after the car, a Chevy Silverado, was involved in a single-vehicle accident in which the driver fled the scene. Jackson informed police he wasn't present during the crash.

"It was a friend of DeSean's who borrowed his car while he was out of town," Jackson's representative, Denise White, said Wednesday. "None of what was in the car was his, obviously. He's dealing with the person that was using it without his knowledge privately. The incident is being handled."

Jackson arrived at the scene, but, according to a source, initially refused to cooperate with police. He eventually provided the name of the driver, but wouldn't help track them down.

The receiver, who was inactive last week against the Carolina Panthers, is in the first year of a three-year, $33.5-million contract he signed last offseason. In 14 games, he's amassed 668 yards on 50 receptions with three touchdowns.
