Rosen focused on right fit for NFL draft, not being highest pick

Should Josh Rosen declare for the NFL draft, it's widely expected the UCLA quarterback would be the No. 1 overall selection, a pick held by the Cleveland Browns.

Sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter earlier in the week that Rosen would prefer to play for the New York Giants over the Browns, and that he would be hesitant to declare for the draft if he were Cleveland's choice.

Rosen's comments on Tuesday seem to back that report up, as the star pivot reiterated that going to the right team is his priority over going No. 1 overall.

"I'd rather be a lower pick at the right team than a higher (pick) at the wrong team," Rosen told Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.

Rosen could opt to return to UCLA for his senior season and play for new coach Chip Kelly, a man who is no stranger to the NFL.

Despite battling injuries throughout the season, Rosen still threw for 3,756 yards and 26 touchdowns for the Bruins. He's expected to make a decision regarding the NFL draft in the days after the Cactus Bowl on Tuesday night against Kansas State.
