Report: 50-50 chance Del Rio returns to Raiders in 2018
Oakland Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio has a 50-50 chance of returning next year, a league source tells Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.
Del Rio was signed to a contract extension after the Raiders made it to the playoffs last season.
He'd still be owed up to $15 million if fired, according to Dieter Kurtenbach of the San Jose Mercury News.
Whether or not Del Rio stays or is shown the door in Oakland, offensive coordinator Todd Downing is expected to be fired at the end of the season, according to Florio.
The Raiders have slipped to 6-8 and third in the AFC West through 15 weeks, after going 12-4 and finishing second in the division last season.
This season, the Raiders rank just 19th in total yards of offense, and 22nd in points scored per game.
