Los Angeles Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a back injury, the team confirmed Wednesday.
Zuerlein was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time Tuesday. The Rams will reportedly sign Sam Ficken as his replacement, per Adam Schefter from ESPN.
During an upstart season for the Rams, Zuerlein converted 38 of 40 field goals, with a long of 56 yards.
The Rams sit at 10-4 and hold a two-game lead over the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West.
Nicknamed "Legatron," Zuerlein is known for being able to convert long-distance field goals and the Rams will sorely miss him while trying to contend for a Super Bowl.
