The New York Giants interviewed former Carolina Panthers general manager Dave Gettleman for their front-office vacancy Wednesday, the team announced.

Gettleman, who spent four seasons in charge of the Panthers, is reportedly the favorite to land the job following the dismissal of general manager Jerry Reese at the start of December.

The 66-year-old led Carolina to three consecutive NFC South titles and compiled a 40-23-1 record. Carolina had an NFL-best 15-1 record in 2015 and went to Super Bowl 50.

The Panthers fired Gettleman in July.
