Vikings' Bridgewater makes long anticipated return vs. Bengals in mop-up duty

He's back.

After a near two year absence, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater made his return Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals in relief of starter Case Keenum.

Bridgewater entered the game with 10:38 left in the fourth quarter to a standing ovation from the home crowd with the Vikings dismantling the Bengals by a score of 34-0.

The 25-year-old's first drive was short lived, however, as Bridgewater was intercepted on his first pass attempt by Bengals safety Shawn Williams.

Bridgewater was activated from IR on Nov. 8, and Sunday's lopsided contest was the first time the young gunslinger saw game action since a wild card loss to Seattle on Jan. 10, 2016.
