Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay provided a positive update on Andrew Luck's injury status this week during league meetings, announcing the star quarterback is progressing well.

"He's doing great," Irsay told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, according to Nick Shook of NFL.com. "He's doing well. (We're) disappointed obviously it's taken as long as it's taken. You know, medicine and the way it goes. But there hasn't been any unusual setback. We didn't find out anything ominous, something we didn't know about or anything like that. It's just taken time for him to go through his whole aspect of rehabbing and progressing and working through the soreness."

Luck underwent shoulder surgery in January, and while the Colts initially stated he'd miss just a few games to start the year, the quarterback hasn't taken a single snap this season.

The former No. 1 overall pick is currently in Europe to continue his rehabilitation, though it is unknown what treatment he is currently undergoing.

"He's still in Europe but he's coming home very shortly," Irsay said. "No additional surgery at this point planned."
