Detroit Lions running back Ameer Abdullah is expected to be inactive for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Abdullah missed last week's game against the Baltimore Ravens due to a neck injury, but he's reportedly expected to be held out Sunday mostly due to his poor performance.

Tion Green and Theo Riddick are expected to get the majority of carries in Abdullah's absence. Green made his professional debut against the Ravens, rushing for 51 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.

Abdullah has rushed for 505 yards and three touchdowns on 150 carries.
