Count Drew Brees on the ever-growing list of NFL players against Thursday Night Football.

After losing several teammates and seeing others hobbled throughout Thursday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the New Orleans Saints quarterback knew exactly where to throw the blame for the increased ailments that helped determine the outcome.

"It's one hundred percent a product of playing on Thursday night," Brees said, according to Josh Katzenstein of the Times-Picayune. "Do you understand what guys' bodies go through in a game? And then to have to turn around four days later and to play?

"Is this smart as it pertains to guys’ health and safety? No, absolutely not."

Brees lost star rookie running back Alvin Kamara on the first drive of the game due to a concussion, while veteran contributors Michael Thomas and Mark Ingram had to leave the field for treatment on several occasions. Rookie cornerback Marshon Lattimore needed multiple oxygen breaks throughout the contest as well.
